Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
My only one stupid questions, is what do i do with LHM resevoir? If i put some dog end brake pipes which are crimped at one end to seal them, will it be ok turning the car over with the MC full of LHM? Or is the top not liquid tight..? Or do i need to drain it? And if so how do i drain it?

If you're worried about leakage just wrap it in a plastic bag after removing pipes. Tie up open end of bag with large rubber band or maybe a cable tie. LHM is not like ordinary brake fluid. It won't strip the paint.

No I know. I'm not fussed if it leaks what I'm not certain about is if I need to drain the reservoir in order to turn the car upside down.

Taking the reservoir of is a matter of putting a tray under the MC and push the reservoir sideways. It's only held in place by two rubber bushes. 1 min job better safe than sorry i would say.. those green stains can be visible for quite a while

All lined up ready for Tomorow. Not sure how to remove steering column so I'll just lift it out of the splines bit as I lift the body off Hopefully on re assembly I'll WOrk out how to bleed the breaks. It actually depressed me driving it for the last time for nearly 2 months

Re: 1988 2cv D*lly bits and bobs
So got to my lockup for 8 am, started dis assembling Me and my brother couldn't get the car into the trailer... Inch not wide enough At this point I thought I was up shit creek and wouldn't be able to get the car anywhere and I didn't have space not to move it I then remembered I had too bars in the back of the truck, so I put these on the trailer and me and my brother lifted the shell on top Then we turned it on its side on a mattress It should hopefully not bend the car?? I've started to scrape off the waxoyl and the car (un surprisingly) seems in a very good shape. There's a few bits of rust startin underneath so I'm glad I'm Nipping them in the bud More pics to follow
