Post My CIMOS-Citroen Ami8 1975
Last year there was a chance to get a Ami. It was cheap and good. It is a Slovenian (YU) Ami, it was made in Cimos-Tomos. I need to repair it because of the rust on the chassis, front doors,... I think, it's the only one in Slovenia with the original Red color (color is by Cimos, 402 "Oranž", I think). Engine is good, but I have some problems with the reservoir for gasoline....

I just want to repair it to next year (France)

Zeko

Hey Zeko,

Thanks for joining up. I hope you manage to get your Ami back into a roadworthy condition in time for the French world meeting. Having seen further pictures of your Ami on your facebook page, it certainly seems to be in a nice, original condition.

Of course it is. It's an Ami. It's what they do best... <grin>
But it looks _lovely_.

Migod. Do Cimos Amis make French ones look well protected? It makes you wonder how they got as far as the showroom, then...

@Ollie: WWWWTTTFFF????? :twisted:

Our Amiis are much better than Franch! I didn't said, that it is for waste!! That is a reason, why they survived so long. We have much more snow in Slovenia, that they have in Franch, so more salt on the roads too!!

I'll posted some pics, when I'll have a time.

Yeah, I know. I have seen quite many of those Cimos cars. Also I believe that Ami's in
Slovenia were much more in use than in France, so its more hard to find survivors. My friend
used to say that Cimos cars were rusty already from factory ;)

Yeah @Olli, that last think can be true... It's wery difficult to find a good Ami from Cimos those days... There are no many mechanickers in Slovenia, for our A-series... The best in Slovenia, I think it's 2cvKeža. Amiis have a tipically problems, so there is a problem with a new parts too...

Yeah, my Ami is rusty too... :(
