I stumbled across my 007 3 years ago whilst driving to work. I caught a glimpse of the arse end of it sticking out of a barn so I knocked on the door on the way home and to cut a boring story short... ended up paying 200quid for it :)

It needed repairs to the floors and the o/s sill bodging up for an MOT. All of which carried out by Matt Smith whilst myself and Chas Vacy-Ash gave it a bloody good service.

Anyway! Once back together I thrashed about in it for a bit...

...before throwing more money at it in the form of new tyres, a new black Matts hood and a set of adventure bumpers...

Along the way I have added rear 3 point belts, a hatch conversion and spoties (which still need to wired up  ) but there is still loads to do long term... mainly floors, sills, brakes, tidy the paint and sort the stickers but it is road legal and a blast to drive.

I use it for everything during the spring and summer months...

I dug it out of my Father-in-Laws garage yesterday and it's now taxed and almost ready for another season... just got to get the brakes fixed.

Nice. I don't think they ever made a better looking 2CV than the ones with square headlights. 8-)

Right! I have spent the last two Sundays giving the 007 a thorough service.

The timing was slightly out and I could walk through the valve clearances. So after replacing the points, condenser, setting the timing, adjusting the tappets to 0.2mm, cleaning the plugs (which have only been in there for a couple of thousand miles) and changing the oil it now ticks over like a sewing machine. It does feel alittle flat at the minute but then again it has just spent 5 and a half months laid up so I'll see what happens with use.

Total Cost..... £8.50 for half a can for oil:) Happy days

I think I was camped opposite you at the inter-national in Cambridge last year... :?:

I remember talking about adventure bars and that neither of us had spots that were actually wired up
