I started to clean and repair the other part... "new" front part of dyane that I will transplanted to the DAK body...
... not good ...
Now you know where dyane is leaking to the inside...

Many years ago when I was at school I found metalwork lessons boring and I didn't pay attention. If I had known then how interesting it really is then I would have worked harder. Your posts are very interesting, please tell us more about the process of repairing metal on your car. |

Look at this video, it is "only" 8 minutes of few hours of cleaning work that I did on this dyane... http://www.youtube.com/user/2cvak350#p/u Just to explain what and why I doing this ... I am not a fan of sand blasting a citroen A series . It is very thin material (0,65 mm) and where ever is rust but not a hole in material there is even thinner . so when someone use sand to clean and too much pressure it will make too many holes and corrugations . In many situations owners destroy their 2cv with sandblasting it. I use torch just to warm a little color and than like you can see on that video, clean with angel-grinder or by hand. It takes a lot of time to clean but material is not damages.

   There is some "white" spots that I will cutout latter and replace with new parts. So now I can start welding ... |

Front "firewall"... Cutout bad rusty parts and made a new part, weld in ...
