On the end of the day I painted everything with rust protection color. I made special attention to protect place between sheets of wall and water chute. You can see paint coming out on bottom ...

So this wall is finish for now. Few details still for repair but I painted complet on the end of the day.

Next is making a new sills, floors and front part under the pedals.

Yesterday I built spare parts for my DAK. The front wall of the pedals, floors ...

I bought a sheet thickness of 1 mm as the original in this car. Form of reinforcement beams was then in a factory Cimos simplified. As there is nothing wrong. This part of the flooring has survived 25 years.

Image

First, I draw a plan and cut out a model which I then use to produce the necessary parts.

Supports for flooring ...

The front wall of the pedal ... stamping reinforcement at home made tools

This plan can be used to Acadiane floors, if anyone needs ...

I made it... complete reproduction of the CIMOS DAK floors and I like it. :D

Maybe you will say... why I didn't use aks400 or ACAdyane floors ? Well AK floors are too short and ACA are different in some ways . And I wanted to do this car as it was made.

No ribs, hand made and 1 mm sheet.

Some photos of making it from today...

I'm interested to know, why do you fold the curved covers over the suspension cans? is that how they are originally? Why do you not roll them? (this is not critisism, I'm in awe of your talent, I am just curious!)

Well done mate. Your skills are top class and should be preserved for the next generation. Please keep all your drawing and maybe one day when you're an old man and can't work any more, teach the youngsters to do what you did. You're a true master Image

Russell... You notice that. Well I don't have at home machine to roll that sheet (it is to hard to roll by hand over some tube...) and this was one way to do it. I just decided to do like that in the moment.

2cvviking... I do have all my drawings, sketches and plans at home for a 15 years ago. A lot of papers...
