Welcome to the board, Richard! Just out of interest, how did you hear about us? It looks like you have bagged yourself a bit of a bargain & on your doorstep too!

Little Louis wrote: Nice loads better than mine at £300 how did you get into 2cvs, are 2cvs in the family, just fancied one? paint it all one colour and it will be brilliant My parents had two back in the 90's, a 1979 model that was bought as a hood donor for the 1987 Bamboo they had at the time. I've always fancied one, and every morning I heard that little 2CV come buzzing past my window - it always seemed very reliable. When I saw it for sale I suspected it had failed the MOT, but when I established it had loads of tax and MOT I bought it straight away, I thought it wouldn't be hanging around long at that price! I really want to take it on the 2CV 8 Ball Rally, once I am insured as currently my dad is driving it because I am already insured on my other car (an Austin A35) and Footman James insurance want double the premium to have another car on there Paint it all one colour? Why would I want to do that? wollies are far superior to any other A Series Edit - And D ollies certainly aren't "wollies"!

Re: My "Plums and Custard" D*lly
Welcome Richard, sounds like a fairly priced 2cv, an unusual find in this day and age! Don't worry about half the problems you list, they seem to come as standard. Where about are you? Why don't you bring it along to a 2cv camp (Easter/French national) and say hello!
