I love red specials! The ultimate 2cv.... This looks like a really nice solid car... It would look even nicer if you got abit of polish on it

Polishing it does come rather a long way down on the list of things that need doing to "the fleet" I'm afraid. Although, once I've done everything on my "to do" list, well, you never know.

It does polish up quite well, the only downside being the numerous shades of red show up more when shined! Also the paint on the screen surround seems to come off rather than buff up

It used to be polished every week, so don't worry, its had its fair share of that kind of thing!

I am sorry about the abomination that is the wiring to the fuel gauge. I did that (with plug flex and sticky tape) after a mechanic cut it off (because it didn't work ) and before I became an electrician.

The float must be broken because when I did get it working it read 1/2 for full IIRC

I think he was just feeling left out with the rest of the fleet (bar racer and BX) having been broken at some point recently.

Gives me something to do while I await the arrival of a correct clutch slave cylinder for the Discovery.
