shouldnt you leave the spare as a spare incase there are problems because you want low down power for a 4x4 not revs?

what he said ^^race engines are really only happy above a few 1000 revs the plugs will foul and it will bog and die if you let it sit idling waiting for the car in front to get out the way.( oh and id not even go to the shops with one of the Krappy Kent "race " cams)

id have thought a more standard engine and maybe even one of Geoffs "torque" cams would be the way to go-any details Geoff?

try to find an old Vege engine and get a massive 610cc over bore barrels

I borrowed Bully's race engine with slotted flywheel 2 years ago and used it at Langdale for a test. Excellent throttle response and power but no low down grunt so not really that good on mud etc. (Plus it drank fuel!!)

Now running a breathed upon dyane engine which has more low down torque and much better in the 4x4.
