Post Re: Jeremy AKS400 Super
have been doing abit of light painting, checking and getting ready to remove the drive shaft for repairs tomorrow. Apart from the shock to front mount being loose (noticed the rattle yesterday) I found this FAIL!

Image

took a plug out of a spare arm but the plug has a worn thread and I doubt the arm thread is much good either as it wont go in!
what size tap do i need to make sure it goes in if i still cant get it to bite?

I can see why people pay to have their windows tinted professionally. Fitting it is the Devil!

Image

Made one fail on this window so might be doing it again once i have done the others. (or colour it in with a pen)

Image

It was suggested to remove the glass and tint off the car but so close to the Frog Nat I cant risk finding more work, smashing the glass or being stuck without a window.

Tonight Brave steps were taken...

Image

Obviously there is some rust but soon to be removed and re-painted.

Image

While the glass is out I can do a propper job on the tinting...

Image

The marks you might be able to see are weld spatter stuck into the glass... shame but it wont show up too much I hope once its on the Van again.

I will try and do some kind of user guide on how to remove the glass and replace the glass (providing it all goes well) ;)

One question... the glass its self has some marking on it but saying made in Belgium? is this normal?

As for the markings on the window - it could well have been built in the Belgian 'Forest' plant. That's were my '76 2cv6 was built.

For Belgian-built cars & vans, yes.

Quick check :- Offer it a trappist beer in the wrong glass, and frites without mayo. If it looks incredibly pained, it's Belgian.
