It was bent into an S shape, and the cracks are on the outsides of the bends, Wasnt very tightly bent, but that has definitely contributed. There is another straighter run of similar pipe added at the same time that's still ok.

I bought some from 'Advanced Fluid Solution' too.
Mine did exactly the same pretty quickly. Bought some more of the same spec from Ecas and have had no problems since.

mine did it too - the sheath or outer is of a diffrent material to the inner which seems fine - ive picked bits off yet its still fuel proof.

Gates "multi carburant" is by far the best but difficult to find in anything other than 6mm

Can I get it done in time for Anglesey? My guess is I'll get it 95% done, then spend to long dicking around with something minor and run out of time to get an MOT.

Well I was ringing around garages at 4:55 on Thursday afternoon, hoping someone would have time to MOT it in the morning. Finally someone did, would I snatch a last minute victory? No. They failed it on a kingpin. It was raining too much for me to want to change it immediately, and I thought I could hear a C.V. joint clicking, then for good measure, the wiper arms stopped working on the way home from the test.

So a whole year of not using it then.

I did change the kingpin, and took it for a retest which it passed, I changed the driveshaft that I thought was probably the problem but never got around to taking it for a test drive to see if the noise was gone. Now the summer was gone I didn't think it was worth getting any tax until next year. The splines have worn from the ends of the wiper arms, so they don't turn with the spindles, I think it must be too much taking them on and off.
