This is awesome. Door panels especially, such an impression of quality.

Yes, I like those door panels, too. What are they made of?

thnx guys!

euhhh just used a sheet of plywood! and MDF to make the housing for the speaker and attachment to the dash! I will cover them with black imitation leather. armrest is of a BX and release handlethingy is taken of a GS (will have to paint that one). I will screw them to the door using the original mountingpoints, just put in some crimpnuts and M5 screws

In the UK it's known as lead loading.

thnx Russell! just some things I don't know, and even my biggest friend doesnt know! (google translate ;) )

coming weekend more stuff to do! but also got a new GF.... didn't plan that to happen untill the build was done..... so less time for the build. but this time I will continue untill it's finished! I already told her ;)

I want to drive it so badly, especially because I don't have a driveable A-type for 2 years now :(

ground down all the welds on the pick-up last weekend, also treated them and the outside of the body with anti rust primerstuff.

but now the project will be on a hold for a week or two, going to fix a D*lly in the mean time, want to have a ride to get to France National in 2 months! some minor rust spots and some other small things, all should be doable in a weekend, then MOT and hopefully it will be ok right away!

and onnnn,

finished the reardoors,
'theave klaws' put in (thats what we call them in netherlands)

Image

and what makes me really really really happy is the sunvisor! I always tought it had a weird bump over the winscreen, that was needed because of the roofwindow. found the perfect solution! (if I may say so myself ;) )
