Post Hi it's Rollo
Hi all,

My name is Rollo, and also a member of 2cv.nl and a 2cv driver since 2005.

My 2cv is originally a German Ente Grün, but i like the big ducks from the Sausss Ente on the side more, so i transferred it into a Sausss Ente.

More of the history and lots of pictures from Dutch meetings you can find on my website: http://www.robdehaan.com

Once a year i organize a meeting that originally took place in the dutch region "De Betuwe" so we called the meeting: "De Betuwerit" This year with a bit of luck the fifth meeting will take place. Allready outside the Betuwe, because we want to show the 2cv collegues more beautiful locations in The Netherlands.

This is my everything, last summer in Almere:

Regards,

Rollo

Hi Rollo, welcome here! I must admit the 'Sausss Ente' is one of my favourite 2cvs - it's a shame we didn't get them in the UK. We did have the 'Bamboo' but that lacks the cool duck decals!

Neil.

Hey Rollo, nice to have you here! I also like the sauss ente editions, the duck stickers are cool! I thought about buying some stickers to make my bamboo into one, but I changed my mind and had it graffiti'd instead. Was that edition only made for one year like uk bamboos were? (1987)

As far as i know the production year was 1987 and there were made around 2000 pieces.

From the Ente grün round 1500 in the year 1986 To celebrate the first unleaded fuel engine.

So the original ente grün is rarer, stupid to make it a Sausss Ente?

Hi Rollo, that is a nice car you have, Top Gear have a habit of ruining 2cvs.

What made you buy a 2cv? Bought one and never looked back?

If you want to post a thread about your Dutch camps... i want to do some more European Camps

Max

I've bought a 2cv, because i always liked the car and as many, i had family with this car, and the stories about the holidays with the 2cv, and driving behind a lorry to gain speed etc etc

And offcourse... It is a resonably cheap oldtimer/cabrio to drive in! 8-)

The mentioned "Betuwerit" is a one day event, so no camping there. I am not as much as a camper myself...

Hi. Tell me about those chromed bumpers you have. Were chrome bumpers standard with your car, are they an accessory or has a previous owner had them chromed.

I'm asking as my car has no bumpers at present and I'm pondering which version to have.

Perhaps they are Harrington stainless steel bumpers at a whopping £250 a set!
