Pixie's update
Bit of an update, Its been 3 years of being called Betsy and we decided, Change. ''Cornish Pixie'' so thats her name now (Pixie). We had her 3 years and now its time for the Mot again. What was needed this year: 1) Kingpin greasing and that was it. We sprayed her underside in an oil mix something to protect her from the harsh cornish roads, weather and rust. The standard exhaust put back on for the test, check lights and the usuall structural points and that was it. Ready for the test! In the summer after coming home from Coverack we started to have a little problem. She went fine for 80% of the ride home and them it started to misbehave. When we got it home i decided that the fault lies with the coil. (spitting loosing power etc) I replaced it with the one on my blue one which yes is still on four ramps. After the coil was done its been such a reliable 2cv anyweather. I look forward to getting it back on the road for another year!

Re: Our 1985 red 2cv (Betsy)
Tom, i've merged the above post with your original thread. Any updates on any of your vehicles can you use the original thread. It helps to keep the place tidy & it's nicer for the reader if all posts relating to a particular vehicle are together.
cheers, Neil

Bad luck to change the name of an inanimate object, Tom.
