 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Todays progress... (and more money spent!) Before/After... The tyres are due to arrive tomorrow. I'll refit a front wing, the springs and the turned arms and see how much car I've got to cut off before they all fit and don't rub...

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Yeah. me too. Thanks man. James, the wheels were bought in the fleamarket at the French national meet this year, they are from an old Peugeot 203(?). I've wanted a set for a while, you don't see many on 2cvs in the UK.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Tyres arrived today, along with the wheelnuts. Got the shell on it's roof in the garage this evening, for some reason I don't have any confidence in myself with it. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing and it's all going to go wrong.I made the mistake of totalling up what it's cost me so far too, and that really depressed me. If it were something worthwhile like a ripple, azam, Ami etc I think I'd feel different but it's just a relatively worthless late 2cv, and I'm starting to wonder what on earth I'm doing bothering with it. Perhaps I should have accepted i got tucked up and broke it for bits in the first place, but I've put over £500 AND my beloved merc into it so far, and tome, that's an awful lot to give up on, as hard as I'm finding it to carry on...
