I can choose between Lipmesas or Monroes for the same price, what would be a better choice?

Lip is not available for 14 mm bolts, 12 mm only.

Don't know yet what to do with it...

I got 4 Lips, they will go in next week.

Meanwhile I've got a bit of a challenge; at my local wreckyard I got some engines for a nice price. They were kind enough to hoist them in, but due a slight misjudgement of the height of my garage the roofbeam isn't high enough to hoist them out.
So tomorrow I've got to get me some wood and create some kind of frame to go over the car... I was thinking of 2 A frames with a removable beam between them.

Are they in the trunk? I'd so, in bolt hood, gently move them out

Erasmo,
Google translate doesn’t do James peculiar brand of English

what he says is "If so, unbolt the roof...." :P

as an engine isn’t a particularly heavy lift Im struggling to see what the problem is...they fit through the rear door but the breather tower snags on the boot hinge unless you do some fancy Chinese puzzle type manoeuvring

if they have been dropped in attached to the gearbox with al the ancilaries then its a bit of a struggle, but they can be persuaded to roll on the disks

Post Re: The Galvanizer and The Rustbucket
There were an engine and gearbox separated an a set together in the back.

The loose ones I could lift out quite easily but the other unit required some more force.

Good thing I made a measuring mistake again. I measured the height on the top of the car but when you roll the roof back it's a few centimetres lower at the back. So with a lot of rope, a improvisational pulley and some swearing I could lift it just above it. Put the car out of gear, roll it forward an drop the whole thing.
One of the engines is an AYA2 engine, those aren't to common, right?

One other question, if you do long trips on the highway, is an Acadiane gearbox is the best choice to keep the revs down?

Ok so I have some strange problems with my new shock-absorber, I've got Lips but when I install them with the thick part pointing to the middle they rub against the shock-absorber mounting plate.

Also when I fit them in they seem to long, probably because they have to be installed when they are slightly compressed. Is this correct and how do I achieve that compression?
