I assume then, ripping the dash trim out is a bit off too? had to refit that as it was all torn off.

So far this morning I've;

Rewired the indicator so it flashes. (a fair cop, I admit)

Raised the suspension further (Tyres still don't touch the arches, even my dad who's an MOT tester agred they didn't before anyway!)

Adjusted headlight aim, but the garage are going to have to check it before it goes for test again)

Welded seat runner to floor. It was just as 'insecure' as last year but this year apparently it's a problem, so I solved it by making sure it'll never be loose, insecure or move anywhere ever again...

Just got to find a silencer from something to bodge on, I know a 2cv one is different as I tried that before, christ knows what I'm going to end up with stuck under there, and hopefully somebody at the garage can put an orange bulb which is the correct shade of orange in. The bulb that didn't work was a proper orange one, the one he failed was actually one I painted orange last year, now they both work, there is no discernable difference in colour....

Because I have an Ami I have an enormous one.

The trouble is, the exhaust is shorter than a 2cv. ;)

The exhaust that was on it is basically a single pipe that replaced the torpedo and then exited in friont of the rear wheel, what it now has is a 2cv torpedo from my yellow car (too long, ends up pushed through the rear hanger) which exits in the same place. It's a little bit quieter, but not much.

That´s a nice car! So how loud you are alowed to be? Just cut the one u have open and put some more stuff in. Then some welding carefully and some sealer and voíla, u have silent one. We have done few of these here in Finland and be sure, it is quite hard to get it legal here.

I don't *think* we have set noise limits, it's basically at the testers discretion.
