Here y'are James - you'll be able to see why I don't want to be drilling holes in the floor yet. The second shot is of the worst rust in the car - the LHS rear quarter window. All other rust is superficial stuff, only very mildly cosmetic. Rust wise, it's a pretty rare car, I'm guessing. I feel I'm very lucky indeed to have acquired it.

first thing i did was rip the insulation out, as it had soaked up water and was rusting the metal behind aaway nicely

in the next week,
i plan to go and buy a box of plugs,
do an oil change, (Got this very very nice jcb engine oil, 15w40, brilliant stuff)
check the valve clearances (hello haynes manual!)
finish wax oiling the innder wings
lube the springs
level the suspension (been meaning to do that since october)

ive been meaning to do all that for at least 2 months now

productive week me things
starting wednesday

been rather lazy with keeping track of what i need to do
ive finally levelled the suspension after 4 months of meaning to do it, ive changed the points again and done the timing, as the old ones were donald ducked, ive also done a few things around the car, because i can!

so firstly as the whole forum know, old nail was kind enough to spray and send me a new dash board, for the car in red, and i sprayed up the plastic bit around the dash white, it looks amazing!!



i also sprayed up a new gear shift column that mr squeezebox kindly gave me,



and also the hand break handle..





going to be mostly spraying up the plastic bits by door handles in grey i think, and a few other bit, maybe window catches in grey...

Yes
