I took it to a VW show at Stanford Hall last month-got a good reception from folk there and, it was damn good fun hooning it across a rutted field while other's were pussyfooting around.

I was there too. I got a good reception too. I had damn good fun hooning it across a rutted field while others were pussyfooting around too.

I'm struggling more and more to keep up my interest in VWs but did you see the early Porsche 356 in the concours? It's still keeping me awake at night. Gorgeous.

It was an excellent show. Wish I'd known you were there.

I'm afraid to say that there's likely to be a VW added to the fleet at some point in the relatively near future. Although, it'll be T4/5 shaped.......

And Sean, thankyou xx

Whoops, too low-chassis scraping on application of the brakes.

No time to raise it before the ICCCR........ I may just bung the 135 Toyos on in place of the Smart Car tyres, that'll raise it an inch or so.

Still, I think it's looking good. I still hanker after a van.

Haven't updated this in a while....

It's really starting to piss me off now with it's "reliability" issues. Thing is, when it's running, it's bloody great but, getting it running is another thing all together.

I can see a rewire and binning the utterly, completely pointless (see what I did there?!) 123 ignition on the cards soon.

I also need to pull my finger out, sort the uprated springs and fit the AVO dampers and freshly turned front arms cos, it's too low for standard springs and dampers.

Oh well, not much to do really!

On the basis that the van has worked 4 (yes 4) times this week, here's some photos.
