[quote="Russellhalf a new sill sitting there. The old man found them in the lockup eariler, I had no idea I had them! That's cut the shopping list down a fair bit now, [/quote]
If you're feeling that cheap I may have the leftover bits of sill still sitting around that I cut down to fit a van. I can have a search for them if they're any use to you.

I've definitely got two sill rear-halfs, too, and I think there might be two even closer to Russ by the end of the weekend...

Just think; if he had enough of those bits of sill and welded them together into a sill sandwich to make a strong floor he wouldn't have had to change the chassis!

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Got a little box of bits from ECAs today, and tomorrow, I'll be ordering a big box of bits! I started cutting the shell apart earlier, found a few more bits of rot, it's really getting me down. I know by now I should expect 2cvs to be rotten, but it's a different story when it's mine. Usually somebody is paying me for doing it, and buying the bits... On a more positive note, I started making the door plates for the roll cage. I need to put some holes in them, but I think they'll do the business. I've been doing a lot of O/T at work recently, and I'm absolutely shattered (I don't know why i bothered tbh, it aint worth the money) so whereas i should have busted into this this evening, I couldn't be arsed to go and find the welder. I have to spend tomorrow getting the Ami ready for it's MOT so that's yet another night where this won't be getting any attention. I should be able to spend a bit of time sunday doing it though, and with any luck the panels might be here by then. It'd be nice to blast into it and get it done in a day.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Thanks James, I'm sure it would have been handy for you to have taken one apart and put it back together again, it's the only way to learn I think.
It's already on a 'new' chassis.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Well today's payday, and it seemed silly to leave the money sitting there in a bank account, so I've ordered all the bits I need to repair the rot I found last night.
Easy come, easy go...
