 Re: My 2cv
Apologies, been away last weekend for a busman's holiday, repairing cars at the National, also have had to miss going to the 24 hour this w/e due to pressure of work. ( 5 chassis built this week, another 15 to go before I've caught up... ) Re. a one-way valve, one of these is worth a try, best to fit it between the pump and the carburettor. If your in-line filter is already in that location, move it down onto the chassis leg, where Citroen used that short length of rusty steel pipe to connect the rubber fuel hoses. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-Non-Retu ... 1e7ad68b68Jonathan wrote: Overwhelmed by the sheer volume of all the responses to my last post.

 Re: My 2cv
UPDATE: Took it down to Worcester in March and brought it back to Shetland in May, and whilst in Worcester it started first time, every time, even when left a few weeks. Brought it back to Shetland and it was difficult to start on the car deck, after the 14hr overnight crossing from Aberdeen. It continued to act up and be difficult to start till I decided to chuck an old set of HT leads on it. Perfect starting every time since. I'm heading down to Worcester again in September, so will pop into ECAS for new leads.

 Re: My 2cv
Heading down to Lerwick tomorrow morning and I'm booked on the overnight ferry to Aberdeen. Hopefully Dock at Aberdeen around 7:30am Sunday and I then have a 500 mile drive to Worcester via Loughborough to drop a friend off, who's leaving Shetland on the same ferry. She's looking forward to the journey.

A convert in the making? By the time she arrives in Loughborough she'll be ripe for dropping in at Leics-Car-Go! on Thursday

 Re: My 2cv
Not too sure about that. Lol
Had a mad dash to the Unst to Yell ferry this morning. Rocked up for the 8:25 crossing at 8:23. Eeeek! I'm down in Lerwick now and will board the big ferry to Aberdeen at about quarter to six. That should leave Shetland at 7pm and dock at Aberdeen around 7:30am.

 Re: My 2cv
Those non return valves also come in 12mm I've been using them as non return valves for the engine breather and to date they seem fine. .

 Re: My 2cv
Arrived in Worcester at 5:55pm after leaving Aberdeen at 7:30am. Came down the A90 to Dundee, crossed the Tay Bridge and headed down to Edinburgh via the Forth Road Bridge. I headed east round the by-pass and onto the A68, down through Jedburgh, up over Carter Bar, and onto the A1(M) at Darlington. The M1 was next, all the way down to Loughborough where I dropped my friend off with friends of her's. The M1 is a bloody joke at the moment, roadworks for what seems like 30miles, and not one single workman!! I cut across country to the A42 and down the M42, M5 and finally Worcester. I love a good road trip.

2CV's booked in for an MOT on Wednesday afternoon. Time to cross fingers and toes.

 Re: My 2cv
Car's booked in for the MOT tomorrow afternoon and a dip-beam filament has just gone on the off-side headlamp. Is there anybody not too far from Worcester that has a spare yellow headlamp bulb they'd like to sell? It'll save me a trip to ECAS in the morning. Ta very muchly.
