Post Re: D*lly Folly
Thanks you welders for advice.

Ark...ArC....the brain is going...I knew it looked wrong....couldnt ***king see the C !!

Will look into all those mask options. Im glad there isnt a lot to do on this project, but I am an idiot when it comes to health and saftey stuff.

At the moment I am complete in the physical sense...everything is attatched !! (mentaly clearly unstable).

Several silly accidents over the years.

1) Years ago a tree blew down in garden. Brought a "Farm Jack"....and a checked shirt (they seem fashionable again), went out and "jacked it out of the ground"...going great and then the thing slipped ...I was of course wearing training shoes that went quickly from white to red. Foot bandaged, couldnt walk for ages.

2) Angle grinder....the 9 inch one ...going through paving slabs. No blood, no problem....this time was wearing safety boots and when it went from dust to sparks I stopped !....still have all my toes....and a pair of boots with a nice slot in them !

3) Chain saw....again ...lucky escape. Brought a chainsaw when moved into current house as lots of stuff to chop up and put in an open fire (£100 chainsaw...free heat....easy). Did well on stuff. Burnt old kitchen units, pallets, cleared stuff until I took down an old tree (I was a hippy at the time so I hugged it first and asked permission ;) )...I reckoned I could clear out the stump too...so did a good job....stones and soil everywhere. No problems...then next time I used the chainsaw the chain broke and flung around in a scary way. I was of course wearing jeans and a T shirt....but fortunatly it missed me and only killed the cat (well it didnt do that either...sadly). Still got a new chain now, not sure what its going to be like on the D*lly chassis.

4) Finally....welding. Yep the arC (I come frome the arK) eye was horrific. Thanks Russ...will remember T bags, but if I ever do that again I have a 24hour opening shop that sells whiskey... oh how horrid it was.....yet sadly some of my best welding done just as I got my "eye in"....I think I would rather loose a limb, a toe, a foot.....even giving birth cant be that bad....than have that pain in my eyes ever again.....

...so.....the next stage of this project is to research what you have recommended and be just a bit sensible this time !!..but wont wear gloves though....and I am about ready to commit to shorts for the next six months...

Thanks !!

You're clearly a man with a knack for hurting yourself. Have you tried flower arranging?

Amazing. I would really stand out in a workshop with the "Wild'n Pink" one. I wish it was that one I had.

what about bubble wrap superviser, not much to hurt you there apart from a pen and clip board?

OK....I admit it I am feeling mighty guilty.

Im not a daily reader of the screen, more of a binge reader at weekends etc....so sorry if my contributions have been a bit "lacking" again recently.

However I felt I should at least bring you up to date with my D*lly Folly thread as I know you are all gripped by the edge of your seats and are now expecting this project to be finished.

To be honest this is where it is....

....EXACTLY.....I have done nothing..not a dam thing......so this is a pointless post as I am hanging my head in shame as the dam thing is still just as it was. All I appear to have done is go to the bottle bank and plant some runner beans in the garden....and I dont much like runner beans, but I couldnt find any onion bahji seeds. Neither have anything to do with the project.

DAM...utterly being a bit rubbish at the moment !...still flower arranging course starts in June!
