 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
For £2250 someone's gonna get a proper nice car. I reckon if you polished it, stuck an MOT on it and were a bit of a bastard and put it up for around 3k it'd sell within a week. I'm guessing its as solid as it looks? I was gonna say that'd buy you an escort and you could buy a trabbie with the change, but having just looked at mk2 prices on ebay.... KIN HELL.

 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
I dunno if I could be that much of a bastard! It's 100% solid and won't need any work for a good while. It's only flaws are a ding in the bootlid, and the front wings are a bit scabby, but not rotten or hanging off by a long way. It's not perfect but it's not a scabby dog on it's way to the scrapyard. It's painted in 2k and it still shines nice. So, £2250 sounds fair? I'm hoping that I can liberate money from somewhere else so I don't have to sell it but needs must and at the moment I'd like a bigger house and throwing money at owning a third car is a bit of a luxury, espescially one I never use!

At that price you shouldn't have any troubles selling it... but... I'm seriously considering purchasing a 2cv to bring back to OZ... I'll talk with Viking over here in the next couple of days and nut out a plan...
Would you accept payment and be able to let it sit there for a couple of months while I get the paperwork sorted?
Let me know.
Harley

Harley If I can't liberate some dollar from elsewhere and have to flog it you've got first refusal.

 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
It's booked in for an MOT again, it failed one last year at some point on afew things that I sorted, and emissions which I have no way of sorting, the MOT centre wouldn't let me use their test equipment to adjust it prior to a test, I had to rebook another test if it failed, so I put it back in the garage and ignored it. I've booked it in with another garage who are more reasonable so I should have it back on the road again soon.

 Re: 1979 Jaune Mimosa 2CV
do the tappets it has an effect on the emissions then watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOxxS1EMphUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWdZSr7x81w&feature=relmfu(part 2) bear in mind that the VW solex is almost identical to ours - it may or may not have an extra choke stuck on the back - you only adjust the front bit you dont need fancy guages just listen for the tickover changing the idle speed is on the side the mixture screw is the offset on the front
