 Re: Joolz's Red One
I'll take it off and stand on it once the weather calms down, but I can't see any point in trying to make it look tidy. I could spend hours filling and sanding, but it would never look right, and it would all pop out again the first time the bonnet flexed so I won't waste my time.

 Re: Joolz's Red One
The 'patina' of my roof is no longer funny, I'm getting bored of having to put a tarp over the seats every time I get out of the car. I'm going to have to buy a new roof, but I'm having difficulty deciding on a colour. Am I right in thinking that a light coloured roof visually lowers a car, maybe that's why I like the very faded one on there at the moment. For some reason I don't like a roof that matches the body colour, I think contrasting looks better, and I was shying away from black because it's too obvious. I had considered tan, as it goes quite well with red, but what's the closest citroen colour, beige gazelle? I wondered about green, certainly contrasts with the red, but could look too christmassy! Maybe blue? Or how about grey? Looking at the prices I'm now tempted back to black by the £40 price difference for a budget one, has anyone any experience of them, how are they inferior? Opinions please.

 Re: Joolz's Red One
Ive got one of the cheaper ones on the Celeste - its not noticeably inferior - keeps the rain out anyhow and the seams havent become unglued - it did ping one of the central clip rivets out but that could have been as scooba drove it with it half open and didnt remember that I dont have a roof strap and it came apart and clouted him on the bonce with the frame and may have over stretched the roof as it flew back.......

 Re: Joolz's Red One
Roy was flogging a bunch of hoods on eBay recently - some of the less popular colours, IIRC. Perhaps worth seeing if he has any left?

 Re: Joolz's Red One
I saw those, ruled out the orange or fuchsia on taste grounds, but had a punt on the vert agave. Perhaps should have bid higher, but interesting to see none of them got particularly close to the list prices.
