Re: Belgian built 1969 AK350 'Hetty'
Wow I haven't updated this in ages!
In September Mr James Kelly and I went to Holland for the International Van Meeting.
There were some vans:

And we went on a small ferry:

And we found some other AK350s:

Which was lovely. On the way back an oil feed pipe split which LD Lines weren't too happy about:

So we got towed by an AA man. Actually three AA men. The first chap said words to the effect of:
"It'll be fine my friend, I have a great deal of experiance of fixing unique examples of Citeoen's motoring heritage from the 1960s in Dover Docks."
After which he produced some chemical metal and smudged it all over the broken oil feed pipe.
I did try to explain that this wouldn't work but he was quite convinced.
Needless to say it didn't work so he toddled off and I waited for AA man number two.
Who towed me to Maidstone at which his shift ended.
So AA man number three came to get me. He had a 435 Dyane in his garden which made interesting conversation.

So I fixed all that and 3 weeks later went to Spa which was AWESOME.
Since then I've been to Raid Imber which was great and Firkin Freezin - equally great. Hetty averages 42.7mpg which is quite pleasing. I've had her sit at 65mph which is equally pleasing and the M4 is lovely. Clutch is a bit ropey so that needs investigation later in the year.

So today I bought another AK350. Significantly cheaper than Hetty. Made by Solido in 1/43

And with a 1/43 AK for comparison:

I'm very pleased al round
