 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Certainly interesting. I like the idea of putting the stress further back towards the axle, espescially as the engine's heavier. And my chassis is a lashed up Citroen original that was preiviously on the verge of collapse.

Skyhooks must be the way forward... < http://www.flickr.com/photos/30132857@N06/5307657030/ > ken Btw, that's what you call a balance pipe, anything that's less than 70% of the CSA of the main pipes isn't going to have much effect.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Funny you should mention that Ken, but just to the side of the slide joint in the balance pipe, you can see a couple of crimps, if that's the right word, level with the center of the engine and presumably the reason why the joint is off center. They locate a restricter, the hole in the center of which is, iirc, not much more than 10 or 12mm, the balance pipe is just slightly smaller than the down pipes, which are 45mm. I have no explanation why, only observations.

 Re: Yet another red spesh...
Hi Joolz, thought you might find this one interesting, especially as the owner has been running it with a standard 2CV gearbox for over 12 months. Once it's on the new chassis, he's off to Russia with it later this year.
