 Re: Yet another red spesh...
This is something I'm going to look into. Lpgo, I hope you don't mind me asking you plenty of stupid questions as it goes.
The car drove to Paris and back yesterday, performed absolutely faultlessly although I've noticed when starting it it's not spinning over quite as fast if it doesn't fire immediately, and as the coil is gradually getting worse and worse that's quite often. I'm going to stick the battery on charge at the weekend and see if it's simply that the car's always being used with the lights and wipers on at the moment, and not really getting the chance to charge up fully. The battery is fairly new, I think. I'm sure I bought it for the Ami after I gave Jon the battery off that when he bought the Bamboo and the cocking heap of shit wouldn't start. That was under a year ago, so it should be fine.
The rear sweep and back panel, along with the bonnet hinge are gradually getting worse, and finding money to fix that isn't likely to happen any time soon. Which is a shame, as the car's starting to look pretty shabby. It's in dire need of a good G3'ing, and polishing, but the weather's so rubbish now it's highly unlikely to get done before the winter is out.
The seats are really, really knackered. I've been driving it with an old sleeping bag jammed under it as it's collapsed so badly and it's starting to make my back hurt. I need to be creative with that aspect of the car too, sticking the same old-same old seats in isn't for me.
In other news, I'm considering cutting the wings away.
