Looking good, but what are the little circular rings on the top plate? and why's the dimdip resistor clip still in place?

1, plastic plugs. Fitted from new, apparently.

2, I hadn't noticed until it was too late.

Good job, and a nice colour...
When I swapped my chassis I also painted it in a nice colour, lot of work, and not visible anymore

Btw, body looks, besides the damage, in a good condition!

Yes, although I've yet to see the body, it looks really good, aside from the obvious damage. I found the Porta-power in the garage, so hopefully I can push a lot of the rear 1/4 damage out, the A-panel will have to be replaced along with the floor, but it's a lot better than most second-hand 2cv bodies would be!

Today the chassis came home from work and it's now on axle stands in the garage, after france I'm going to pour all the spare cash and time I can into it. I'd like to take the car, with rolling chassis and painted bodyshell to registers day. it'll be tight for time (2nd weekend in July, IIRC?) but even if i don't make it setting a hard target like that will only help spur me on and get as much as I can done.

Can I suggest you use Waxoyl as neither cash nor time seem to offer much in the way of corrosion protection.....................

I'll grab me coat and see myself out!

I'd love to know more about that car, looks like a lot of fun to drive.

I asked what i'm allowed to do to the engine, the answer? Absolutely nothing. No short barrels, no waisted valves, no light flywheels even! The engine has to be absolutely stock, the most you can do is 9:1 pistons.

Thanks Old Nail, don't expect it to look as well finished or as clean as yours though!
