I agree...

Wonder how it would look with a white roof and a red bootlid

A White roof might look better, but only for a few weeks until it's dirty, which is why I've had to go for a red one.

they are cheap, bit of a trek though...

There's a courier-management company next door to my office. Just had a chat with 'em about this.

If the guy selling is happy to put 'em in a box, then they can arrange a courier to knock on his door, collect 'em and get 'em delivered straight to your door in the UK. For 4 wheels, roughly 5"x15" each, you'd be looking about £70. Add on his €40, and you're looking at a little over a ton for the set to your door.

If anybody's up for it, just PM me.

Post Re: Yet another red spesh...
Just an update. It's been on the road a couple of weeks now. I've ragged the tits off it and not much has gone wrong. Once again I've got a pair of knackered coils in the car which I change everytime I'm stopped in traffic. Ho hum. On the way to Snetterton one of the headlights smashed for no real reason and the exhaust tailpipe fell off, which I couldn't care less about really, I'll fit a new one one day, probably when I order a new coil off ECAS when I get fed up with it.

The white wheels were a stupid idea as predicted, they get minging withing a few yards of driving and are a bugger to wash without jacking the car up every time, and I'm too lazy for that.

The spring cups are still bottoming out on the can mounts, I'm waiting for the knife edge shackle to break before I bother sorting that out, which shouldn't take long.

I've been trying to work out what it owes me so far, and I reckon it's about £800. On the open market the car's probably worth £1200 to the right mug which means I'm still up, and it was still worth doing.

I'm happy with the car though, it's a bit of a chuckle to throw around, and looks pretty cool.

Happy times.
