 Wanting to brace the top of the air shock mounts still further i decided to make up a simple bar that would bolt in behind the top of the shocks and also allow the coil and the breather box to mount on...

 Next step cut down things so they line up again First the handbrake gets the chop...  The linking rod also needed cutting down...

 The gear rod came next... a quick cut and shut...  Next the oil filler/breather... man how complex are these... cut down and turned to clear the fan housing...

 The oil cooler was moved sideways and the pipe work cut down and swopped to hose.. The base of the oil filler needed heating and dollying to clear..

 Time to sort the alternator... first the lower pre heat pipe was cut off and removed and a new smaller belt adjuster made up...  Still wanting the correct pre heat pipe to work i decided to lower it down on the exhaust manifold, first step a new hole..

 The top hole soon got welded up and the pre heat reattached in its new position...  Back on the car with a collar added it was then welded back into place...

 The fan had some trimming to clear the oil cooler and got bolted back into place...  Just the small belt cover to sort...... the great news is the bonnet now shuts again.. very happy
