 Re: Yet another red spesh...
No stickers. maybe a Citroen Racing one on the vent flap, but nowt else. I got the roof from a bloke about half an hour up the road on eBay, £62, it has never been on a car, and despite a couple of nicks and oily marks, it's pretty much perfect. I fitted it and went for a little test drive. It's great to be behind the wheel of a slammed 2cv again, this is as hard as a coffin nail, although it's pretty high, it's still low enough that it should have scraped and bottomed out down the lane and there was none of it. I'm really pleased with it so far, I never set out thinking I'd like it, most of the work I've done has been half hearted and not of great quality, until now it's just been 'another red spesh', but I'm actually quite fond of it, and think I can see me keeping it for longer than 'until it dies and then breaking it'.

Jameswallace wrote: meant to put also, youve done a nice job, i wouldnt say half hearted, otherwise you wouldnt of gone to the trouble of posting the pics etc Nah, read Lennys thread about covering up pinholes with seam sealer. that's the sort of thing I've done with this, simply to get it on the road ASAP and cheaply. I'm not going to sell it to anybody for a vastly inflated price, it's about £500 worth of 2cv, but as i said, it isn't for sale, I don't feel slightly guilty about some of the cut corners, I'm still very pleased to have got in going again.

Russ, if that falls through for any reason, I'm heading for the Channel Tunnel on Sunday - happy to drop the splitter off to you.
