 Re: My 2cv
I used the Fabia, but a 2cv passed me on the way home.

 Re: My 2cv
Getting withdrawal symptom now, I've not used the 2cv in over a week and we've had more snow yesterday, more overnight and it's currently snowing as I write this. So looks like no 2cv'ing till well passed Christmas

 Re: My 2cv
For the most part, No I did use it to go to visit France back in January and there was an awful lot of the white stuff in the Vosges mountains which it coped with very well. But atm there is just a bit too much on the ground here and the local authority appear to be slacking-I've yet to use any road that has been gritted this week Plus, Worcester folk aren't used to driving in these conditions and I don't fancy some Muppet sliding into me So I'll leave it in the garage, no matter how desperate I get to want to use it

I've seen cars sliding at me at all kinds of strange angles, while others sit spinning their wheels frantically at the side of the road, with no comprehension of what might happen if suddenly they find some grip. I have been listening to Sky news reports advising that you don't go out unless absolutely necessary, and then wondering why so many people obviously unqualified to drive in such conditions are still out there... floundering.

 Re: My 2cv
I tend to have a holiday in the Highlands in January/February, so I'm fairly happy and confident (for the most part) driving in quite deep snow. But the one thing that does scare me, is the tricks I see from other road users.

 Re: My 2cv
Had a 4hr shift in work today, 12-4pm, so decided to get the 2cv out and use it for the first time in about 2 weeks. Battery was as flat as a witch's tit It's one of those Halfords 440CCA 4yr guarantee jobbies, and it's the second one since I bought it 2yrs ago Well I had pleny of time to spare, so I jumped it off the Fabia and set off to work Can't say I understand why everybody on here thinks 2cvs are far better in the snow than modern cars, I have 135 Michelins on mine and it was far scarier than driving the Fabia . I've driven probably 200,000+miles in 2cvs and I can't say they are fantastic in snow/ice. Was quite relieved to get the car back home in one piece. Oh, and it did start eventually, when it came to home-time.
