 Re: Anyone know about Tractions?
Gave it a good power wash and hoovered out the interior. Seems very nice although I have not pulled up the carpets yet. But for a start it has not shocked me in any way. It is a bit heavier than a 2CV and I can't push it back in the garage on my own. I am used to little cars  Still can't believe I was given it for free - speedo is stuck, I am not driving here. Attachment:

 Re: Anyone know about Tractions?
Wonderful -- it's getting better and better. Interior looks great, I've seen a few tartan ones, but most do seem to be the pin stripe grey stuff the seats are in. Yes, I want to buy it, but probably can't afford it I went to look at a traction a year or so ago in Elstree. Bodywork and interior good but still needed sills, exhaust, tyres, bearings, brakes and the engine was an unknown quantity. It was on ebay starting at £3k which was ok given that my friendly traction owning specialist costed the work at about £3.5k, but then it sold on ebay for £6k which was too much - we'd taken a trolley jack etc to check it over, no-one else had. I last had the opportunity to buy a normale (11BN) in 2006 for £3k that was mechanically good, but slightly shabby chic (including mouse). Unfortunately I had nowhere to put it at the time. There's a nice looking one on ebay at the moment for £12,500! I have however narrowed down my requirement to a black 1954/55 normale. So yours is perfect in my opinion

So what's the deal with the formalities? I'm not that up to date on French rules, as its old do can you just get it running and use it or does it need a CT?
