Re: My new 2CV, running restoration. In theory..
Well after educating myself, I've decided on one of Kens. Will likely get it running to check there are no serious mechanical issues first, waiting on my box of service goodies from Ecas.
Going to see Sean tomorrow night for a nose about.

That seems like a good decision. By the time you've finished you'll have expended a good amount of time (and money). Do it right. You'll be happy with Ken's chassis.

Well there's always 2cvGB register's day (begining of July) and on the August bank holiday you have the choice of the 24 hour 2cv race or the 2cvGB national meetng in Oxford. If your car less there'd be plenty of people to volunteer to pick you up from a nearby station

Hi Pete.
Pleased with your choice of chassis. I suspect I'd do the same myself if I were carrying out a major restoration from scratch - it isn't a lot extra in the scheme of things.
I didn't want you 'brow-beaten' (exaggeration - but you know what I mean!) into dismissing a 2CV City chassis if that was the one you wanted to go for. As I said, I - and many others - have one and I'd be none the wiser had I not read the many comments on this forum. I'm not bothered that it's not the 'best' as it works perfectly fine, but would very likely have stretched for a better one had the choice been mine.
