The holes will be for the number plate light. In Holland, Belgium too I believe you couldn't have a split plate like the French registered vans so there were two number plate lights on the outside on the Belgian built vans. I stole this photo from CitroenAZU's Flicker

Sam, i went to look at this AKL a while back - it had been listed on eBay. I remember when it had been freshly restored by the previous owner Alistair Harbord back in the early to mid 90s - it was quite a shock to see how it had gone down hill... AKL's are very rare - i believe the only other in the UK is 'Stimpy' belonging to Pete & Bev. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=259 |

Mines not an AKL though is she? AKL = longer window, rear seats and extra trim? Or am I mistaken? I must email Pete and let him know I've got her! She's infinitely better than the one on eBay! |

Aha ok, my bad. So the only other known Belgian built AKs in the UK are Pete's 'Stimpy' and the eBay shed? As theyre both AKLs does that make mine the ONLY standard Belgian AK in the UK? |

Het (Belgian AK), Stimpy (Belgian AKL), that rotten shed (Belgian AKL), Daras Rich (French AK), Tim Jessop (French AKB), Mark350 (French AKB) |
