Yes, please! Might be able to organise it coming northwards with Mr Fieldmouse at some point? No particular rush, as the car is now in bits spread across the garden! Would be interested to see your seatbelt mounts when you get a picture.

That won't be a problem :)

Is this still in your way, Russ? Sam, are you going to the National?

Sam found loads of towbar a when he tidied the barn, I only want the one I made for my 2cv which won't fit any other 2cv anyway, the rest, so take your pick and help yourself! I don't know if Sam is doing the international but I certainly won't be. I could look into Hermes-ing it to you if not.

Tonight's plan is to do all the localised repairs to the rear inner wings and get the wheel well welded in and with any luck the boot floor too. I've made all the bits to repair the rear windows but I'll probably have to go home for me tea before I have a chance to do them.

All the welding is done except for one seatbelt mount.

Quality is exactly what you would expect for a job that took 4 hours instead of the four days it should have taken, and cost £13 instead of the £2000 it should have. But meh, it's repaired for another few years at least.

I need to go over it with the seam sealer and a smear of filler here and there then paint it properly (as properly as I know how, anyway).

Put primer on it and had to put it back together as I need a car. I'll get a litre of white at some point.

I trailed the wiring loom in the wet primer which was stupid, but otherwise it's not looking too bad.

I didn't completely remove the plug welds so it looked like the original spot welds in the flange thing on the back panel. It kind of looks ok.

Check out the rear brake adjuster. LOL. More shit to deal with. Had the drums off just after i bought it and it's as comical as it looks.

I know it's still a dog, but it's definitely coming along...

I'll narrow the headlamp bar at some point too. Pretty intense weekend coming up on it, seam sealing, painting it underneath and undersealing it. Then I really need to prep it for an autosolo, I've missed the last two.

See the photos of it before I welded it. I just sliced along the bend and sat the two flanges I put on my rear panel repair behind the lights/number plate bit and welded them on to the inside, then welded along the outside. I'll try and take some better pictures as I'm not very good at explaining. On the drivers side I only had to weld the old to the new, but the passenger side I had to make some new bits above where it should have joined as well as a new rear sweep. There's a smear of filler forming the tight curve below the number plate covering the weld.
