The fella I bought it on was involved in an accident, he pulled out of a junction just as a van was coming. apparently it was the vans fault though, or summat, dunno. Either way, I offered him all the panels and suspension parts to fix it and he emailed back saying the car was mine for £50. Reeeeee-sult!

Then it went shitfaced in Wales, and engines have become service items.

How about I do a post in the general section, a poll maybe, with a complete rundown of everything thats gone tits up with this car, and our membership can vote whether it'll make it or not, if they say it won't, and it does, they pay a euro into a bucket at the WM?

PLAN!

But, it has to make it there under its own steam, with the engine and gearbox it left your house with. (I'm sure it will actually, but I'll still vote 'no' and chuck a Euro in the bucket).

Sorry Jono, I'm taking a spare 'box.

Everything else will just be basic tools and spares though. Who else thinks this is a good idea? and would stick a euro in? it'd be more fun than us floggin you some stickers, and you get to laugh at me and Neil too!

SWMBO has given me the weekend off, so it's probablt time to give the car a little birthday before it's voyage to Eastern Europe.

First job I think, should be to tidy it out..

I'm going to cut the rear seat in half so the car is effectively a three seater which will give us a bit more space for all the junk Neil, Charlotte and I will have with us.

Then, It's off with the open cans and back onto enclosed spring cans with interconnectivity. I'm going to keep the low springs bit I'm not convinced open cans are the way forward, the benefits outwiegh the drawbacks.

These doors are coming off...

It needs a service and I might go all silly and clean it up under the bonnet.

Is the rearseat so bad? Just put a single seat there, so you dont need to cut the big one! Good one to do is the old one, just holes and it is done...

A bit of a fail today, I only got half what I wanted to get done finished, but the main thing was to give it a little service and clear it out ready for Czech. I also put my new doors on (by 'new', I mean 'Just as shit as the old ones').

Sadly, it's an offroader again, but hopefully when me and Neil are loaded up we can adjust it and get it low again.

No, I couldn't be bothered to paint the insides of the doors, and Yes, I wish I had now...
