 Re: My 2cv
Thanks R.T., but I've just pushed the 2cv out the garage and took a good look. The gaskets are ok, the rear nut on the drivers-side exhaust manifold had come loose, I tightened it as much as I could, and it's cured it.....For now.

 Re: My 2cv
Manifold is holding But I had an issue with full throttle running, the car had no performance. Took it over to Peter Cross this afternoon, and he quickly discovered and fixed the problem. It was dirt in the secondary jet, so it's a flier, again. Good Times

 Re: My 2cv
Funny how you can spend hundreds of pounds on fixing/servicing a modern euro-box, and it still feels exactly the same as before the fix/service. That is one thing you can't level at an old car, like a 2cv. I noticed the front tyres were beginning to wear more on the inner edge than on the outer edge, so I took it round to my local tyre emporium and asked them to check the tracking. Well it was slightly over toed-out, so I've had it brought quite a bit in, almost in the straight ahead position, and what a difference The car feels totally different now, the road holding is greatly improved, and along with the fixes mentioned in the last one or two postings, it's truly amazing(especially when you consider I've spent very little...Bargain! ) PS:- The issue I've been having with a smell of fresh petrol seems to of been sorted. I'm assuming it was due to a problem with the carburettor, that's been righted when the top was removed to clean the secondary jet Bring on the sunny days

 Re: My 2cv
Have a good trip! Tip: if you're heading north from Worcester, go and fill up at Callow Oil in Chaddesley Corbett (opposite the pub on the Kiddie-Bromsgrove road). Cheapest fuel for miles. Last fill up cost 1.14/l (last Sunday) when it was 1.19 in Kiddie.

 Re: My 2cv
Heading south, and I've already filled up this morning at Tesco @ £1.19.9 Worcester is a Rip Off City, I keep saying it, I'll keep saying it, because it's true. Just about to grab a sandwich, then over to the 'rent's chez for my Combi-Camp, and off I go

 Re: My 2cv
I now have a pair of those window openers that fit on the leading edge of the door and can be moved up and down, to adjust the amount the window is open. So far I'm very impressed and happy

 Re: My 2cv
Will be popping out shortly, to give the 2cv a good wash & polish. I normally use Auto Glym polish, but I need to buy a new bottle today. Can I have some feedback on which is the best polish sold by Halfrauds? Is Auto Glym a good enough product? Cheers guys.
