 Re: LGY 275P Rises Again!
Well still no change!! the beast sits untouched since october...
will make an effort over the next few months to get it all sorted!!! first job is to get the exhaust off again and get it welded up...thats a half day job at least and i'll probably have to get the engine out again!! what fun!!
I'll get some pictures posted too as I know I like it when you can see whats happening, rather than a load of words....

 Re: LGY 275P Rises Again!
Ok a new year, time to get my finger out and get this bad boy on the road, Getting some important stuff done first though The Wheels have been sent away to get refurbed!!! Still doesn't run proper, engine needs to come out again!! exhaust is blowing from somewhere Loads of little bits and bobs to do, but hey lets get the wheels done !! Decided to go a bit more custom rather than just get it MOT ready, so fitting the roll cage i got of gaybay just for shits and giggles rather than any benefit, going to rebuild the dash, as it gets in the way of the roll cage Going to use the GS dials i've sourced and a few little queeks here and there.. Have also got hold of a couple of pairs of bike carbs and another gs inlet manifold, so going to convert it to bike carbs aswell, well with some help as just to put the cream on the cake, (its a long story so I won't go into it much), but through my work with the youth motor project I run, last week I met a fella who used to be the chief electrical and fuel developer (or something similar) for Lotus Car back in the late 90's RESULT said he would be more than happy to give me a hand or should that be I'll make the tea whilst he works his magic So hopefully in the next month or so I should have some major progress fingers crossed

YAY! Glad this is coming off the back burner. Did you get hold of matey with the engine? Was it Barry? Wheels are well important. Who cares if it doesn't run; it'll look good.

Yes almost 100% certain it was barry left a mesaage, but never got a reply!! Was going to start a thread to see if anyone had got through and if anyone knew whether the engine and gearbox had gone or not, or whether he recognised my voice!! and just couldn't be arsed to reply.. As you say neil the wheels will look good even if the rest of it doesn't!!

Just had the wheels done on my scooby, mainly because I kept losing the pressures in 3 of the tyres, turn out all 4 wheels were buckled which was nice!! the fella did a sweet job, so I thought see what he could do with the GS Alloys...

 Re: LGY 275P Rises Again!
Cheers mate, it's getting there now hopefully, especially as I've got my lotus engineer fella on board and interested, we're now going to make a dedicated wiring loom for the front end, build a steel frame from front of chassis to the bulk head to be able to mount the wing properly and run a bar across the 2 to mount the bike carbs on, might have it done but the summer at this rate.
