 Re: My AKS400
The guy flogging it at the time was the son of the original UK owner - he'd imported it in 1988, IIRC. After Russ went to look at it i offered the guy 500 quid. He said he'd think about it & get back to me... A few weeks later he did & said "if you want it for 500 it's yours". At the time i'd already bought some other flat twin shite & didn't have the space.

 Re: My AKS400
After it sold it went to a bloke in the Cotswolds - Michael Warwick seems to ring a bell. There was a bit in Fourgonne conclusions a couple of years ago. The guy was toying with the idea of cutting the back off to make a pick-up as it was pretty rotten.

 Re: My AKS400
I seem to remember his father had passed on and he was keen to see it go to a good home. It was parked outside a very nice looking Victorian townhouse mews in London when I viewed it. I was offered the chance to drive it but self preservation and a desire not to be pulled over prevailed and I decided against it. Glad to see it's gone to a good home, I hope you can get it straight and tidy as it's obviously been long overdue some love.

Last owner on the V5 was in Ross on Wye - the guy I bought it off never transferred ownership - naughty, naughty!

 Re: My AKS400
Does that mean it's been through two owners since Gary? Sounds like my old Bamboo, that changed hands about 3 times in a months after I sold it.

 Re: My AKS400
That sounds about right - the guy I got it from said he couldnt get on with it - he had a Dyane and a 2cv sometime ago and I think hadnt appreciated that they are an acquired taste after you have been cosseted in a modern car....
