Besides, I prefer red to green.

 Re: '88 red spesh
I've remembered today just why I love A-series so much. Whilst Slamboo was good fun and the racer is hilarious, you have to take a bit of care, watching out for bumps in the road or discarded cigarette ends and matchsticks even! Seth however just rides over all these "obstacles" and takes it all in his stride. Found a few other jobs that need doing though. I need to retorque the axle bolts, stop the exhaust hitting the rear suspension arm (side exit pipe methinks), sort the speedo out which reads roughly 10 mph too high, fix the fuel gauge and the speedo illumination. So, all in all, what a great car!

 Re: '88 red spesh
Oh no, had a problem with Seth today! Okay, so "problem" is a bit of an exageration but the N/S headlamp has rusted and the locating tag has rotted off the bottom causing the headlamp to drop out. Soon sorted with another headlamp from the garage.

 Re: '88 red spesh
I can't help giving "updates" on Seth, he's really such a great car. Todays "problem" was a sticking throttle. I've put up with it all week as a kind of rudimentary cruise control but today, I removed the pedal and greased the spindle etc and put it back together. No more cruise control but also a bit easier on the brakes-it's amazing how hard it is to stop a 2CV at full chat. Although I was getting quite good at flicking the pedal back up with my heel whilst applying the brakes! Oh, and the drivers window's buggered again, the metal "catch" bit has dropped off-same problem as the last window. Hey ho, 2nd hand parts for you I guess. I'll change it (again) tomorrow.
