£250 for a set of Harringtons?
Doesn't sound bad when you compare it with this alternative: http://www.franzose.de/en/Citroen-2CV/Alle/Stossstange-vorne/ANR16553/

I have a Harrington interior in my car and it looks great. When I bought it, I was offered the chance to buy the bumpers for a discounted rate of £125 :o should have done it!

Admittedly my interior's probably made from the palid skins of Vietnamese orphans but I can't fault the quality and it's much more heard wearing than the grey patterned type. The staff were really helpful too.

as far as i know, the bumpers are originally Dyane bumpers.
And put on the car by a previous owner.

I like chrome parts on my car so i even have little chrome rings round my indicator lights :D

Nice car! I like green

The bumpers look a lot like the ones on one of my cars. They dont have the original 2CV-shape of the bumper. It don't have the sharp "bend" on the middle, but more a big curve from end to end. If you get me....

You are right about the Dyane. But they dont come off one, I think they are new(or not) Dyane-bumpers that have been modified to fit a 2CV. Because of the plates, indicated by arrows, this Dyane-shaped bumper will not fit a Dyane. It's not chromed, but stainless, like the Dyane ones.
And i do think it looks great ;)

Never owned a Dyane, so not 100% sure, but I think I'm right.

Mine was bought late 90's I think, so maybe from same company.....

We're hardly doing that Max, simply talking about what bumpers his car might have. :?:

Eirik,
that looks very much like a Dyane bumper to me, it's even got the original reinforcements designed to prevent buckling near the mountings.
It was common practice when folk plundered Dyane bumpers and installed them on 2CVs to add a closing plate to hide the gap between the bumper and the 2CV wings/bonnet.

I guess you've noticed the accelerated corrosion of the bumper bolts and the 2CV bumper brackets when a big lump of stainless is in contact with them.
Ideally, an isolating layer should be provided to prevent galvanic corrosion eating your brackets...

ken.

Is that blue one actually a sauss ente? I thought they were like bamboos and only in green, although I'm sure I've seen them in other colours now. I'm guessing the stickers could have been put on afterwards?
