1971 Dyane
Right. Ive been coming to camps for about as long as I can remember, always having the intention to one day own an A-series. I passed my driving test last year, but due to the majority of my wages going into the local pubs and the inordinate insurance cost I ended up borrowing my sister AX for a few months instead. About a week ago however I decided to have another look at the whole affair, found a Dyane (on this very forum), found that I could now afford insurance. As such, a predictable series of events (probably well known to many of you) involving me driving halfway across the country and handing over a proportion of my bank balance resulted in my ownership of this 1971 Blue Thasos Dyane: There will probably be very little change for about a month as I'm going back to Uni in Preston tomorrow and don't have much in the way of tools, space or even spares up there, but I wanted to upload some pictures anyway. John

Nice purchase. At least if you do find yourself working on the car, out in the street, in the depths of winter whilst up in Preston, when you do retire indoors you can unwind with a nice sauna & jacuzzi!

Nice car, I hope you don't molest it like some I know would do. Keep it honest.

Couldn't possibly, but they know who they are as they have to put the exhaust back on every time they go over a speed bump.

Yeh, its a hard life Neil Jameswallace wrote: at least you can spend the money you would have to spend on tax in the pub now Haha, at 75p a pint in a nearby bar thats going go to alarmingly far too 602 wrote: I hope you don't molest it like some I know would do. Keep it honest. No, the plan was to just smarten it up a bit, not wanting a museum model, I always though Dyanes looked better a bit rough anyway. That said I'm weighing up putting a spare Royal Enfield exhaust on it, nothing irreversible though.
