My Four 2CVs and pending divorce!!
As a new member of a few weeks, I would like to share my 2CVs. It all started when we bought our holiday home in the South of France (Argeles sur Mer). After seeing several 2CVs, on returning home from a trip last Easter I decided I would sell my two classic cars (Mercs). I was lucky enough to find a red Special with not a lot to do to it. I then placed an ad, looking for spares or a project with no success. I then purchased a 1989 Special (white). The following month on e-bay I was successful in buying a 2CV (blue). I then received a text message three weeks ago asking me if I was still looking for a 2CV project (Gumtree). I obviously said yes when he told me it was a 1981 x reg., original yellow and black Charleston. A deal was cut and last week the car arrived at its new home. The deal was carried out via Sean who assured me this would be a great project. You will see from the pics the red one is due to go for MOT this month and the others will be restored in turn. I have still to dispose of a 1971 VW Campervan (Westfalia model) so that two of the CVs can be restored. The four 2CVs have cost me a total outlay of £1250 so far. If anyone out there can fill me in on any of the past history it would be much appreciated. The white car was registered 1985 C384 DMH. Yellow and black Charleston 1981 ODW 733X. The blue car 1989 G249 TYO. The red car 1988 Special F744 SFS. I cannot believe how good the forum is. Attachment:
