Did receive something very weak during the day, will have a try to night. I did use to listen to BBC northern ireland on sunday night. My old ships radio did pick that up rather good on medium wave. 7 meter long wire antenna.

This evening i tried the radio and surprise some very strong spanish stations and 2 or 3 british ones... Wire antenna suspended under the canvas roof. An old trick from a 1950s dutch 2cv club magazine.

In my brothers 2cv ( 1984) you are unable to hear the radio at high speed. seems to be normal in 2cv's .
that is why i did not put in a radio in my van.
Don't miss it , love to drive it without a radio .

In the 2cv there was a bad smell of exhaust/oil. Yesterday i took the wing of and the cooling tins and the valve cover. In the rear tin there was some oil and that dripped on the exhaust...stink stink. I cleaned the space around the lower head nut and around the pushrod tubes. I did liquid seal around those 3 parts. And this morning the drive was pleasant again. Curious how long it will last.
