Not that i'm aware, except for the badging, obviously!

Here's a site for Transats - click the NL Transats button on the left of the screen for lots of pics! http://members.lycos.nl/transat/

Oh ah! Nice!

German versions based on the Club then?

What was with all the wrong spacing of stripes on those F3s then? Were they fakes or just careless at Levallois?!

Seriously, Hamstall, don't get Tree started...

IIRC Transat is the Dutch variation isn't it? Or was it also German market to?

now about the colour...

and spacing..
and fakes.. and as for the colour...

l do have a boat decal some where that came with my IMPORTED decals that are the CORRECT colour.. but l do so prefer the Beachcomber logo..

l say do as you wish to your car.. but dont try to pretend its a genuine if its a fake... my ripple will be a 100% fake, with a club dash and 602 engine, door whatsits from a charleston roof from where ever and all genuine, just not in
the correct order..
..lol

Yup German and Portugese Transats largely had Club trim, but the only external difference was the Transat scrip on the bootlid. Same with F3's. Transat IIRC was for NL, Germany, Italy Switzerland and Portugal.

I share the pain Tree feels about "fake" beachcombers with too light or wrong shade stripes or "rebuilds" where some idiot hasn't bothered to do their most basic homework and measure the correct spacing and positioning and just slap the decals on. Especially for 9k!
Each to their own , but it does really depress me when I hear somebody guffing on about their original 1986 beachcomber or how they "don't really care that the stripes aren't put on right or the wrong colour" Or, my favourite, as somebody insisted to me at registers day once that their blue celeste special had beachomber seats fitted as an optional extra from the factory. Ooo it gets my goat!

Anyway, mine is insured for 'only' £3.5k at the mo, but once i've replaced the shirley bassey (again) and its had a blow over of the shell that'll be up to, and maybe over 4.

Will
