Here's another cool old thing from the Brooky fleet. '33 A7 Tourer. That's if I've got the picture thing right!

Thanks Brooky, loving the collection. Especially the Duke! and is that a seven? The chassis on those are fascinating.

Re: Interested in other cool old cars?
Thanks Pete. Yes it's an Austin 7. Not sure about the fascinating chassis though! Bloody terrifying more like. 45 mph is a real white knuckle ride, trying to keep the damn thing on the road! The Morris 8 was a far better car really, but not so iconic I guess. Hard to believe that people used to take their families on holiday in cars like this, only in much worse condition and laden down with luggage, most of them desperately un-sound. My old dad could remember seeing one laden with four rather large adults collapsing all four wheels whilst negotiating a roundabout. It's much more accessible to most people than the Rolls though. Everybody knows somebody who had one.
I must compliment you on your photos though. Are they scanned film photos or digital SLR? I wish I had an eye for composition like yours. Just excellent.
Brooky.

Re: Interested in other cool old cars?
*blushes* thank you. My 35mm is broken so I'm on digital; 'just' a Canon EOS 400D, very basic DSLR. Trying to set up a business on the side but progress is slow thanks to my website developer getting a girlfriend!. More pics if you follow the link in my signature, not all great but there is always room for improvement.
The rear section of the seven's chassis just being upturned leaf-springs is the bit that fascinated me. I don't know if it was the case for all of them but there's a rolling chassis on display somewhere (Newcastle I think) and I couldn't help but stare with wonder...

Re: Interested in other cool old cars?
you can see what I mean in this image... the chassis legs stop and from them the upturned springs continue. I just love it as a rolling chassis.
