Post subject:  Trying to steal a 2cv

This night some idiots tried to steal the 2cv of a friend. First they ripped the doorlock cylinder out, then the rammed a screw in the contact. That is so blocked it doesn't move anymore evend with some large pliers on it.They took the wires of and connected them. By good fortune they connected the wrong wires so the starter turned but it had no contact. So they left.
Lots of damage contact and steering lock broken, steering column, broken and the door lock gone....
So he has to get other parts....i repaired already the doorlock with a donor cylinder.

Well done for sorting it out. Used to be able to leave these cars unlocked anywhere. Not so much now..

With todays 2cv prices it's not a good idea to leave it open...
