You can put a 18hp barrel, head and piston set on it with the fitting manifold. Than you can it use it in normal traffic even motorway. It will do 90 to 100 km/H. If you don't have a nose wind.. But i drive the 12 hp in daily traffic it works only uphill it's a bit slow sometimes. ;-) But it's a lot of fun to drive it.

I have already shown him your beautiful car! And told him it's in regular use all through the winter.

Simon says he has the paperwork, it's 1963 and definitely an azam apparently.

The front seats have been changed, no sliding bench and they don't look quite like 2cv seats to me. But then I've never seen this old a 2cv before.

No security of any kind, did make me chuckle. No locks on any of the doors or anything. Seems you pull a lever to start the engine?

Its a gorgeous old thing even in this state.

He wonders, is there any way to tell if its a 12hp or a 13.5hp?

If it's so late it will be an 13.5 hp. It is missing the aluminum trim around the windscreen. It might have screwthreads for seatbelts. I am not sure when it they were introduced. But the old chassis had this fixture in the 1960s. Sometimes covered by a bolted on plate.
And a good rebuild 12hp does run well as a daily driver.
