 Hmmmm
Obviously I don't come here too often these days but, it's a bit dull these days isn't it?
Can't we (that's you cos I can't be arsed) make it a bit more exciting like what it used to be?

 Re: Hmmmm
Caused by a number of factor. Facebook. The search engine broke (fixed now). The site had a spam problem, and it was time consuming for admin, to tell bonafide new users from computer generated ones. And ... people just want to be entertained, because they can't be arsed to be part of the entertainment. Users ... please promote the site at every opportunity.

 Re: Hmmmm
Facebook is fine but so hard to find information ! Forums, such as this one, are a fantastic resource. Loads of invaluable information and, with a working search, nice and easy to find.

Admin. At the moment we have 59 guests! Other forums are also dormant or gone, Difflock, Snail2cv. It seems that the younger generation don’t, can’t do DIY, sadly. Pay a fortune to have your garden Make Over etc.. But on a positive note, my road 2cv passed its MOT, with 3 adviserories

 Re: Hmmmm
Would be nice to get a new header? photo. That Dyane has been there for years. Also, put the name of the forum over the new photo (of a 2CV (I'm biased )).

The spam thing has been intense recently, I don't know why. Relentless and more and more convincing. I help out on a massive global forum and its an all day occupation sometimes getting battered by spam fake members. We use Aksimet now and Stopforumspam, but I think they are pay for services. At least we get alerts now and an approval queue to work through so the 'members' aren't 'in' yet to create their spam.

 Re: Hmmmm
Spam?
I use Chrome (just updated today) on a MAC.
The Chrome spam folder/filter works for me, but I don't bother looking unless, I have reset a password etc, those emails land there sometimes.
Chrome also has a Social Folder and Promotions Folder which contain emails from Sites, Links Suppliers etc that I have used.
My primary email folder is easy to read.
Cheers Peter
ps Still have 16 guests or are they FSB or NSA bots:)
