Obviously I don't come here too often these days but, it's a bit dull these days isn't it?

Can't we (that's you cos I can't be arsed) make it a bit more exciting like what it used to be?

Perhaps you need this back in your life... ;)

I used to spend most of my spare time on here being part of the entertainment in my previous life!

Is there any way that it can be made easier to post pictures. I used to use a desk top back in the olden days so it was quite easy. But, these days, I only have my phone and a tablet so posting pictures is a ball ache. And, yup, I can't be arsed!!

@spanners
Its easier to post an image if you crop it. It makes for a smaller file size. :)

Size matters, image file must be < 1mbyte.
On an IPad you can select image size, large seems ok for me.

Glad to see that some of the old users still visit! I do miss those people who was active and have left this forum. Also there was some mechanically experienced users who contributed a lot, which are now rarely visiting. Pity.

But hey, that's how it is. This is after all a hobby/interest. And those change often during most peoples life. I'm one of the few veterans on the Norwegian forum, member since 2006, when the forum started. Many of those active then, have sold they're cars and gone on with other things in life. I seem to just get more and more 2CV's....
Although they(the cars) are driving me CRAZY, they also give me joy. And the 2CV's have gotten under my skin and they are just a part of my life. What do they say in Church? For better or worse? I think it's like that with my 2CV's.

Being against the consumer based, capitalistic society we live in in, AND, being fed up with repairing things, the 2CV is after all the perfect vehicle for me.
I mean, I can change a clutch on my 2CV in a fraction of the time compared to most other cars, and with almost no tools at all. Hell, I changed a clutch for a friend, on the grass in front of a tent, in a campsite in Belgium on our way to Portugal. Did it while the others made dinner. With only my 2CV's toolkit, and a few beers. Try that with a C5. That's why I love these cars. Why make it so complicated, when it can be so simple. Not only that, they are comfortable! AND they put a SMILE on my face while I drive them. And others too, not that that is a thing I consider. It's just a bonus.
If it wasnt for the salt they pour on the roads during winter, I'd be driving 2CV all year long.

Facebook is also a reason the forms die. Facebook is good for advertising, and for narcissism and reaching a big crowd without any effort. It's a digital drug that people get addicted to. It's not my claim, research show that.
And that's why it's so big. VERY simply put ;)

Making the Forums easier to use is definitely a way to go, if one want's to save them. Like posting pictures and so on. I hope the forums gain popularity again in the future.

A new picture in the heading for this forum, would be great :D
Make a thread for suggestions maybe ;)

I wouldn't have a clue where to start with trying to post a picture on here.

Cropped or otherwise!

I post my images here, https://postimages.org (one of the few sites that allow hot-linking), then hotlink them to this forum.
If one make a profile on the site, you get full control of you're pictures, and can delete, edit and do what you like.
It's free!

Better to post them directly on this site, then they dont disappear.

Chose a file, then attach the file!

The proliferation of facebook taking over from forums is a real pain. As facebook is 'stream' based, searching for content becomes a nightmare and th same questions come up over and over.
I avoid the 2cvFriends one like the plague, it brings out my inner troll. My threshold for stupid people is very low.
